I am an industrial designer with twenty years of experience. The work shown here ranges from industrial and product designs to personal accessories and jewelry, all rooted in a strong design process with a focus on form. This portfolio includes projects completed during full time, as well as freelance employment for a range of retail and to-the-trade companies.

My path to design was circuitous. My undergraduate dreams included medical school, and when I did not get accepted, I was forced to reevaluate. I realized I had an opportunity to pursue a more creative career, and attended the Corcoran School of Art to complete a foundation program in design. A pivotal job for STUDIOS Architecture in Washington, DC introduced me to the world of architecture and industrial design, and I was hooked.

After moving back to the NYC area to attend Pratt Institute for a Master in Industrial Design degree, I worked as a tabletop designer for west elm and then as Product Design Director for world renowned designer Clodagh. During these experiences, I traveled extensively worldwide and gained a vast knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.

I have a profound appreciation of beauty, whether in nature, products or systems, and seek both beauty and pragmatism in my work. My passion flows into the classroom, where Iā€™m an adjunct professor of industrial design at currently at Montclair State University. With a focus on Manufacturing & Materials, Form Language, and Sustainability, I help students merge creative and technical skills so they can become productive members of the design community.
